A Photoluminescent Safety Way Guidance System (SWGS)

Safety Way Guidance Systems

A Photoluminescent Safety Way Guidance System (SWGS) is an emergency evacuation and safety navigation system that uses photoluminescent materials to provide visible guidance in low-light or blackout conditions. These systems absorb ambient light and later emit a visible glow, helping people find their way safely during power failures, fires, or other emergencies

Lite-4-Life are renowned for fitting Safety Way Guidance Systems (SWGS) in all building Types. We have provided SWGS in hundreds of Higher Risk Buildings, NHS buildings, pub basements and commercial buildings to name a few.

Lite-4-Life utilise a unique carrier system that can be manufactured in any colour to suit the environment is is to be sited within. We have created a vast number of adaptions for our carrier system i.e. multitudes of angles and bends, to ensure that when the carrier system is fitted, it is as seamless as possible to the eye.

Within the carrier, Lite-4-Life use a bespoke manufactured 50mm tape that produces a Class C plus rating of photoluminescence when required.

SWGS is predominantly used in the highly regulated industries such as marine, aviation, nuclear, gas, military and oil industries, and have proved invaluable in numerous fire disasters across the world, therefore proving that SWGS is a fantastic addition where risk warrants it in any building type, but well deserved within Higher Risk Buildings (7 storey or above 18 metres to the highest habitable floor).
